Sher Singh aka Hira Anmol – The most handsome boy in our ashram

His Story

Sher Singh, affectionately known as Hira Anmol, once belonged to a prosperous family. His maternal uncles owned a fleet of 40-50 trucks and various properties, while his father served in the army. His sisters, who are government employees, lovingly nicknamed him ‘Hira Anmol’. However, after the passing of his parents, his life took a tragic turn. His sisters, who once showered him with affection, abandoned him 15 years ago, withholding all the family property. This betrayal led to his mental instability.

Hira Anmol’s condition deteriorated, and he began to wander the streets of Dhuri city. He broke his own house and became a familiar yet feared figure in the community. When we first encountered him three years ago, he was a shadow of his former self, screaming and attacking people on the streets. He would throw stones at neighbors and hurl insults at women. Despite his troubled state, it was evident that he was a handsome young man.

Our team rescued Hira Anmol from Guru Nanak Nagar, Dhuri city, and brought him to our ashram. Over the past three years, we have tirelessly searched for his family, but to no avail. We do not have his sisters’ contact information to inform them that he misses them, especially during festivals. At the very least, we hope they can visit him during these times to bring him some moments of joy.

Today, Hira Anmol is stable and contributes to the ashram’s daily activities. His story is a poignant reminder of the fragility of human connections and the devastating impact of abandonment. We extend our heartfelt thanks to those who inform us about such cases, enabling us to rescue and rehabilitate individuals like Hira Anmol.

We appeal to the community to support our NGO in helping more helpless souls. Your contributions can make a significant difference in the lives of those who have been denied their basic human rights. Together, we can bring light to the darkest corners of our society and restore hope to those who have lost it.

Thank you for your support and for being a beacon of hope for the oppressed.
