Chamkaur Sahib in Ropar district, was once a skilled painter, known for his fine work and his own painting shop. Over time, life dealt him a severe blow, leaving him mentally unwell for the past 10 years.
His home, now a canvas of scattered words and images – ranging from political names to harsh phrases- reflects both his artistry and his troubled mind.
For years, he rarely left his room, surviving on whatever little food and water his family could manage in their poverty – stricken home.
Two years ago, Davinder came to our care. With patience and support, we helped him recover enough to return home.
